Marie-Hélène has a master’s degree in political science and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She started her career in media relations during federal and provincial election campaigns. After her stint in federal and provincial politics Marie-Hélène became press agent for the Ville de Montréal official opposition office where she was able to really develop her writing and public affairs skills. As a political staff member, she advised municipal officials on a variety of city administration issues. She always stood out by keeping her cool no matter how many media crises she was managing.
Marie-Hélène joined Zone franche as a consultant in 2012 and is now managing director. In addition to supervising the agency’s day-to-day operations, human resources and administration, she also provides strategic advice to the agency’s clients in many sectors including health and environment. She also contributes to the development and implementation of communication plans and offers strategic writing services. Her experience in media relations is a great asset in advising customers when dealing with various medias.
Known for a high degree of initiative and the ability to simultaneously spearhead many projects, Marie-Hélène clearly demonstrated her talent for working well under pressure. Not to mention a knack for developing and implementing communications strategies. Plus a solid network with contacts in the media as well as in business, politics, government and community groups. She continues her political involvement as a volunteer with candidates in elections.
