Louis Beauchamp


Louis Beauchamp is a seasoned communicator, with over 30 years of experience as a journalist, a professional and a communication manager. Over the years, his proven expertise in issues and crisis management have contributed to helping his clients’ and organizations’ reputation remain intact, and in some instances thrive, while he served as both a consultant and a manager. In recent years, he has developed a deep understanding of complex environments under high-level management positions in the areas of public administration and financial services management.

From 2014 to 2018, Louis Beauchamp was the Director of the Communications Department at the City of Montreal. Under his leadership and with a department comprised of more than 100 employees, he led the communication strategies and major awareness campaigns. In 2016, he developed a bold and award-winning campaign with the objective to educate Montrealers about the problem of cleanliness.

From 2009 to 2014, Louis Beauchamp held the position of Senior Director of Public Affairs and Communications at the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF). Arriving at a time when Quebec was facing major financial scandals, he carried out impactful awareness campaigns targeting consumers of financial products and services, that resulted in a 30% increase in Quebecers' confidence in the AMF.

Prior to that, Mr. Beauchamp spent close to nine years with NATIONAL Public Relations as a Senior Public Affairs Advisor and Director of Spokesperson Training. Mr. Beauchamp started his career as a journalist, a position he held for some 15 years, with a dozen years at the TVA Group.

Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the Université du Québec à Montréal, Mr. Beauchamp also co-authored the guide L'avocat et les médias, published in 2005 by Éditions Yvon Blais.
