Guy Litalien is a Senior Advisor at Zone Franche since 2014 and a lecturer in the Department of Social and Public Communication at the Université du Québec à Montréal since September 2016. He has been involved in university education since 2002. He has 32 years of experience in Public Relations by starting his career in tourism and then in the energy sector at Hydro-Québec where he led the media relations team during the ice storm of January 1998, before taking the lead in communications of the Crown corporation.
He holds a Master's degree in Communication from the Université du Québec à Montréal (2009). He acted as a reviewer of the Canadian Public Relations Society's accreditation program for Quebec from 2007 to 2015 and chaired the Society of Public Relations of Quebec from 2001 to 2003. Co-author of the Vocabulaire des relations publiques (UdeM, 2014) , he collaborated on the book Les relations publiques dans une société en mouvance (PUQ 4th edition, 2010) and Introduction aux relations publiques : Fondements, enjeux et pratiques (PUQ, 1st edition, 2018).
